GDS Cool Paint is applied like any other paint, but differs in that it reflects light and heat away from the painted surface in a significant way and to a substantial measure. It does so by closing the pores, (tiny holes in the surface), and reflecting sunlight, (the cause of perceived heat and temperature), and actual heat.  In summary, GDS Cool Paint is a “reflectant”. It differs from “insulation” in that insulation is an “absorbent” and has a very limited effect, unless massive amounts are placed between the outer and inner walls of a structure or vehicle.  Insulation absorbs both the adverse temperature and the desired temperature. For example; insulation in the walls soaks up some of the cooled air in the summer and the heated air in the winter on the inside of the house.  Insulation does almost nothing to stop Sunlight from passing directly through the roof and walls of a home or office building.  So, no matter what type of “insulation” is used; sunlight passes through walls of buildings and the roof, side panels and engine compartment of vehicles greatly increasing the accumulation of heat and reducing the efficiency and power of the engine.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We produce two levels of quality in this product: paint and additive, (for standard automobile paint only), with particles/molecules of 10 to 70 microns in size,(able to block pores 10 microns and larger), and pre-mixed, ready-to-use paint with particles/molecules of 1 to 25 microns in size,(able to fill the smallest pores and effectively block out the greatest possible amount of sunlight and heat.) For sales in the Middle East, only the smaller micron paint will be sold in order to achieve the very best results in such a heat-intensive environment and to maximize the word of mouth/quality of reputation sales.

 

GDS Cool Paint is sold in two general forms; Pre-Mixed, (a complete paint ready to be applied by the end user) and Additive for automobile paint,(which can be mixed with automobile paint).

 

We offer two types of pre-mixed paint: elastomeric, (essentially a rubberized, flexible paint that will expand and contract on roofing surfaces) and House Paint, (synthetic/acrylic suitable for exterior home surfaces and interior surfaces).

 

All types of paint should be applied after at least one coat of primer and three coats of GDS Cool Paint for best results.  Three coats best establish a thermal and sunlight barrier. Roofing and wall surfaces are very porous and require saturation in order to prevent temperature and sunlight from piercing the roof and walls.  Metal in military vehicles is also very porous and will require adequate coverage to get the desired effect.

 

Once the GDS Cool Paint is properly applied, sunlight and temperature are almost completely blocked from transferring to the other side of the surface.  Homeowners will see their electric bills drop by over 40% in many cases and more in some.  Tank crews will see an enormous decrease in the transfer of heat from outside to the inside of the crew compartment and thus will require far less air conditioning, (where it exists), and will be able to function at a much higher level in a cooler environment.

 

Tanks, Armored Personnel Carriers, Trucks, HumVees, portable power generators, Food Trucks and any other type of military vehicle will use less fuel, go farther, have more power and provide personnel with much greater comfort and the ability to fight the enemy from a position of advantage.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When GDS Cool Paint is applied to inside walls, heating costs in the winter and cooling costs in the summer will drop even more dramatically as the walls and floor, (if painted), will no longer absorb the heat or cooling.  Only the air need be heated or cooled and it will remain relatively temperature constant.  When applied to interior panels, ceiling, and floor of vehicles, GDS Cool Paint makes the vehicle much more comfortable and more efficient by limiting thermal transfer.

 

So, the cost of GDS Cool Paint to the end user is quickly recovered and then a net cost reduction in the cost of electricity, diesel and gas for vehicles and gas for heating will be achieved.

 

When GDS Cool Paint is applied, water tanks can remain cool in the hottest settings.  We have tested GDS Cool Paint at nearly 900 degrees F and the opposite side of the surface was cool to the touch. Obviously, this makes the water that was previously too hot to use available to the end user at any time of their choosing.  Military units with mobile water units, “Water Buffalos”, can use that water during the hottest part of the day.

 

The roofing or Elastomeric Paint, covers 100-125 square feet per gallon.  The House or Latex Exterior Paint covers 200-250 square feet per gallon.  Of course, these are estimates and one must take into account the texture and porosity of each surface and the environment in which the surface is located.
